Who we are
Asaan School is a school management system operated by 14Labs. Each school decides what it records about its students, parents and staff. We store that information for the school, only to provide the service.
What we store
Names and contact details, class and subject details, attendance, homework, marks and report cards, fees and payments, leave, and (where a school uses payroll) salaries. Passwords are stored only in hashed form.
Who can see it
A school's staff see their own school's records, teachers see their classes, and parents and students see only their own. 14Labs staff look only when needed to run or fix the service. Each school's data is kept separate.
What we don't do
We don't sell personal information, show ads or use tracking cookies. We use only the cookies needed to keep you signed in.
Where it is kept
On servers in Finland (European Union), over encrypted connections, with encrypted backups. If a school turns them on, WhatsApp, email and payment providers receive what they need to send messages or take payments.
How long we keep it
For as long as the school uses Asaan School. When a school stops, its data is deleted 3 months later, and old backups are removed within a further 6 months.
